Recently, the list of the fifth batch of “China-ASEAN vocational College Characteristic Cooperation projects” was announced, and the Sino-Thai “Silk Road E-commerce” talent training project put forward by our school was successfully selected, and it was the only vocational college in Anhui Province that has won this honor.
The “China-Asean Vocational College Characteristic Cooperation Project” is a project under the “China-Asean Double Hundred Vocational School Cooperation Flagship Plan”, which has been implemented since 2018 and is supported by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Asian Regional Cooperation. The program selects 20 characteristic vocational education cooperation projects jointly carried out with ASEAN member states every year, aiming to build a long-term and stable platform for pairing cooperation in the field of vocational education, play an exemplary role, and lead the practical cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in the field of higher vocational education.
The China-Thailand “Silk Road E-commerce""talent training project is carried out by relying on the “Double High Plan” construction major of our college - “E-commerce” major. Based on mutual recognition of credits, the project is committed to training Thai students with diplomas in e-commerce in cooperation with Thai colleges and universities. Through the practice and exploration of both China and Thailand, three major working systems have been established, including training system, management system and practice system. Three platforms including high-level exchange platform, teaching and research exchange platform and academic discussion platform have been built, and three Bridges including language bridge, cultural bridge and art bridge have been set up, realizing the three-dimensional sharing of teachers, courses and students, and forming a "triple three" talent training model with unique business characteristics.
Since the formal signing of the inter-college cooperation framework Agreement between our college and Taksina Business Management Technology College and Ayudhya Business Management Technology College under the administration of Thai Technology Group in 2018, the two sides have carried out a series of cooperation and exchange activities in terms of exchange visits of leaders, personnel training, cultural exchanges, and international student education, and have achieved rich results. In January 2019, our school held the "Belt and Road" Talent Training Forum, where experts from both sides shared and discussed talent training experience and domestic vocational education characteristics, and exchanged vocational education concepts. Organized and carried out two short-term cultural exchange activities, a total of 70 students from China and Thailand went to each other's country for two weeks to "immerse" in each other's social culture. In June 2019, the “Chinese Language and Culture Exchange Center” of our university was officially launched in two colleges in Thailand. In July 2020, our school carried out “online Chinese teaching” relying on the center, and more than 500 students from Thailand participated in the study. At the beginning of 2021, the two sides signed an education cooperation agreement to carry out the joint training project of academic education for e-commerce majors. The first batch of students will be enrolled in July 2021 and have completed the first academic year of study in Thailand. At present, they have transferred to the teaching stage of our university and are carrying out online learning according to the training program for e-commerce professionals.
The successful selection of the project is another breakthrough in the international cooperation and exchange work of our school, which will further help our school to build the “Double high Plan”, give play to the advantages of professional brands, and enhance the international level of the school. The school will make continuous efforts to enrich the content of exchange and cooperation, improve the quality of international cooperation, and strive to make the China-Thailand “Silk Road E-commerce” project a powerful carrier to spread the voice of China and tell the story of China, so that the level of international cooperation of the school will be taken to a new level.
